1970s Rock Keyboard Play-Along Book - Volume 16 | Hal Leonard Music Sheet for Piano & Keyboard | Perfect for Practice, Performances & Rock Music Lovers

In the past, I purchased some of the Hal Leonard PIANO play-along books, and like other reviewers I was fairly disappointed with song selection, accuracy, and cheesy backing tracks. Later, I found the KEYBOARD play-along series and couldn't believe the difference...HL had it right this time with better song selection, near note-for-note accuracy, and backing tracks recorded to actually sound like the original. Recently I purchased 1970s Rock - Keyboard Play-Along Volume 16 BK/CD and love it. There are only 8 songs in the books from this series (as opposed to ~30 in the keyboard note-for-note transcription series with NO CD/backing tracks), but I like the variety of 70s rock songs in this collection and once again the CD/backing tracks are top notch. I'm sure there are perfect ears out there who would dispute the absolute accuracy of the transcriptions, and there may be a few notes off here and there, but not many...and my ear is fairly good! I think this book (and others from the series) should appeal to intermediate level players on up to the seasoned pro, and with the CD tracks/bonus material included, the songs are accessible to anyone.
