I have two large male cats (a 16 lb tabby and a 20 lb Nebelung which is a naturally long/heavy breed) so it's a real struggle to find cat trees that they fit on comfortably. For many years I had a cheaper quality cat tree that was also about twice the height of this one, and my 20 pounder would occasionally cause it to tip and nearly fall over after a mighty leap.After a recent move and leaving behind my old cat tree, I decided to upgrade to a sturdier tree made of better quality materials that also could stand up to nearly 40 combined pounds of chonk. I have no complaints about this tree; it's exactly what I was looking for. Also awesome that it's made in America and arrives fully assembled which saves me a lot of hassle, plus the tree just feels incredibly solid like it'll last a long time.The boys immediately took to it, as you can see in the pictures. My 20 pounder (grey cat) loves it the most, especially as it's near a window and he can look outside. Since we bought this one, he spends the majority of his day sleeping on the top platform where he can keep a watch. As you can see, his legs dangle off the sides, but it doesn't seem to bother him. Sometimes he does like to sleep on the middle platform. There's a hanging ball/bell toy above the middle platform and they play with it sometimes and it seems pretty decent like it won't just snap off. The bottom of the cat tree is good for playing with a laser pointer toy since they can hide and pounce from behind the support legs. And they use the tree as a scratching post, as intended, which saves our furniture.After seeing how much my boys love this tree - which isn't very tall but I bought because I had just moved and there wasn't yet space for a taller tree - I'm going to buy a taller one from the same company, so they can use both at once and both look out the window at the same time. I highly recommend this sturdy and nice looking cat tree!
