GREAT product! I have nothing but good things to say about these bulbs (3000K warm).Packaging was exceptional - not a chance that anything was going to break.The installation was about as simple as this kind of retrofit could possibly be. I kept double checking my connections because I couldn't believe that it could possibly be that simple, but it was. The instructions are spot-on correct - you don't need any extra supplies, wires, wire nuts etc. You can just reuse the wires and wire nuts that are already there. I have 30 years of amateur electrician experience, but I think the average do-it-yourselfer would have zero problems following the directions and getting it done.I have been looking to replace my annoying/buzzing ballast for years and finally had to do it when the bulbs went out. I had put it off for so long because I wanted 3000K dimmable bulbs, and I just couldn't find them. Why 3000K? If you have these in your house (as opposed to your garage, workshop, etc.) you definitely want the 3000K. Recent research has shown that the cooler bulbs (e.g. 4000/5000K) can affect your wake/sleep cycle if you use them in the evenings. In other words, just as you are supposed to switch your laptop/phone to a warmer color in the evening to help you sleep, the same holds true for your lighting. Cooler/blue light tricks your brain into thinking that it is still the middle of the day. The warmer (3000K) bulbs help tell your brain that it is evening and time to go to bed.That being said, these bulbs do not look yellow at all - just warm. If all of your bulbs are 3000K then you won't notice the difference since your eyes adjust to the color to make it seem "normal".Compared to other bulbs that I have read about, these seem about as simple as can be to install. You don't have to worry about shunted/non-shunted tombstones (the part where the bulb fits in). You connect one end of the fixture to one wire, and the other end to the other wire, and you are done.I don't find these to be too dim for me. I have 4 of them in my recessed kitchen light and they seem just about right. That being said, I have not put a dimmer in yet, so I cannot comment on how they work with that. I will soon install a dimmer so that I can turn them down a little bit for a more gentle ambient light, when I am not in the kitchen doing tasks and just want to illuminate the adjacent dining room/great room.Finally, these might be a little bit more expensive than some other LED bulbs, but in my opinion they were worth every penny.
