Description

This novella contains humor, romance, magic, puns, bodies, and a short detour from reality. No plots were harmed in the making of this story.Instead of a quiet dance retreat where she could escape the insanity of being the daughter of an angel, a succubus, and a lycanthrope, Emma Sansaul plummets into the middle of murder, mayhem, and mischief. As becoming the next victim of a crazed serial killer is not on her itinerary, she's left with no choice but to join forces with Agent Kenneth Bernard to find the murderer, the one man on Earth capable of making her hissing mad one second and in need of a cold shower the next.

In the latest Magical Romantic Comedy (With A Body Count), RJ Blain has changed her writing tone for a (what seems to be a one-off) delve into a less frenzied pace.If you loved the others in this series, I'd suggest you take a look at the preview pages before buying to check out if you can handle the tome changeCons:- It's not as action sequenced, which might frustrate some.-the characters aren't quite as in your face so it may be harder to relate to them-different style :Part of the series' appeal so far is each prior book has been full of devil-may-care, rapid fire actions and interactions, propelling the storyline along at rocket pace. By contrast, Fowl Play is more of a whodunnit than an action flick---Pros:- The difference in style doesn't mean that less happens, but rather the illusion of it happening less rapidly.- I like whodunnits- doesn't take itself too seriously-i found it an interesting change of pace.Bottom line, good book, well written, but maybe check out preview before committing to it because of different style.
