I have loved Jaci Burton's Play-by-Play series from the very first book, "The Perfect Play". The books are romantic, emotional and extremly steamy!!The Rileys are a family full of hot athletes. If they're not an athlete themselves they marry one. "Thrown By a Curve" was Alicia Rileys' story. She's Cole Riley's sister, the hero of "Playing to Win". She's a hard working physical therapist who not only loves her job but is also very good at it.She works for the St. Louis Rivers baseball team and is trying to prove herslf to everyone, when a chance of a lifetime presents itself: to work on the team's star pitcher, Garrett Scott.Garrett Scott has injured his shoulder and fears that his days as a star athlete are over. He is depressed and isn't responding to therapy. What he needs is someone to shake him up and work relentlessly with him. What he needs is Alicia Riley.As always the Rileys are united in this book. We get to see how the other characters from the series are doing. There is also a new Riley in the family - Mick and Tara's baby Sam.The book is full of sexual tension as Alicia and Garrett try to keep their relationship strictly professional while trying to ignore the immense chemisrty they have for one another.We also get to meet new athletes , Garrett's friends, Gray, Drew and Taylor. The next book in the series will be Gray's story, "One Sweet Ride".The only problem I have with Jaci's books is that I can't put them down, I just have to finish them once I start reading!If you haven't read this great series yet, which ı find very hard to believe, please do yourself a favor and start reading it!!!
