I pronounce this pretty damn good and very useful. One tiny quibble, I wish they would have stated which particular Django recording they were working from for each track, although it is not difficult to locate Django's actual recordings on Youtube. The music is played by some very good quality musicians, the violist and the guitarist are both first rate. And still, as is always the case, they play the notes perfectly but I would never for a moment believe they are Django or Grappelli. But that is not the point, the transcripts are very good, they are the notes that are being played on the demonstrations and they are faithful to what Django played in the cases where I found his track and made the comparison. .The book has a code in it on the front page, you go to their site and plug it in and you are at their player, which allows one to choose the playback speed, very helpful. I downloaded the tracks, also very easy to do.This is an awful lot of help to my study of this music for a very modest sum, I am pleasantly surprised.
