Ginie Line is rather new in the music scene, yet this isn't noticeable at all as Play, her album released in 2005, is a very mature production with a good solid performance on her side. It all has a quite 'pop' feeling but nothing that could really be considered in the more commercial aspect of it. There are some soft pieces but mostly it is more vivid, and get to be upbeat at some points.Céline Dion singing in french would seem as a natural comparison, but in my point of view, Dion's french songs are very slow and rather boring, while Line's work is a bit more rythmic and modern. I'm thinking more on the Lara Fabian and Hélène Segara side.Jusqu'à la Tolerence, is the obvious single (which, by the way, reminds me a lot of Lara Fabian's hit single La Différence), but there are some other songs that could very well be considered as hits here. However, nothing really stands out as groundbreaking nor will you be able to find the catchy rythm that won't let go your mind. It is easy and very nice to listen to, but even if you try, it'll be hard to really become a fan, since the quality of this work -which it doesn't lack at all- is more on the performance and less on the billboard go-getter side.
