Out of all the Selina Kyle Dark Knight figures/statues released, this really takes the cake. It was the last one I ended up acquiring, but it stands far and above even the Hot Toys 12" version (which I paid retail for, and was still almost four times as much as this figure in cost - and now goes for much more).First, don't be deceived by the picture - she is not grey, she is black, just like in the film. I'm sure the promo pics were lightened to show the detail, but the real figure does NOT look like that - which is a GOOD thing! I have seen reviews stating that she is too grey, and I wonder if those people are reviewing the photograph or the actual product. Her sculpt is great, very accurate, and the paint job was also superb (probably the best I have seen on a Selina since just about every other product has issues with where her hairline/forehead meets the goggles). The only critical thing I'd say about the sculpt is that the bust is a little large like you so often find on Catwoman merchandise (particularly from Japan) but that said it isn't too much to be distracting, and with the upper body articulation you can minimize it's effect, and when she is pointing the gun or otherwise using her arms I really don't notice (and since this is a particular pet peeve of mine as a Catwoman/Selina collector, if I can get past it, I think most can). Her multiple heads are really great - and the description/photographs don't explain it very well. It looks like she has two looks - one with the wind-swept hair and the mask down, one with the straight hair with the mask up. In actuality, you can do four looks for her - the hair pieces are separate, so you can use them on either one, making a total of four looks (both mask up and mask down with both the hair styles). It's ingenious. You pop the head over the hair and put the whole thing on the figures head peg. That said, this was the only quality issue I had - the head and hair parts don't snap together terribly well. I was able to remedy that with the hot water trick (the tap water in my home is very hot, so I don't have to bring the water to a near boil on the stove like others who also do this to pop or attach items to figures; other people use hair dryers to heat them). I heated up the head and then placed the hair in it, mushed it in really good to get it tight, then immediately flashed it with ice cold water and that seemed to do the trick. I also had to do this when changing hands (warm the hand NOT the peg), and the hand is perfectly secure and fitting now. That said - THIS IS NOT A KIDS TOY, so I'm sure if I grabbed her by the head too hard or dropped her it would come out again. These types of figures are not made for little kids to be banging around the house with - they are for collectors to pose and display, so I don't think it would put up with too much abuse. Glue is of course also an option, but for now I like being able to do the separate looks.Speaking of posing...man. Seriously. This figure is the most posable figure of any size I have ever owned. Because of the fabric outfit on the Hot Toys version, while she can be posed rather well you don't want to go too far for fear of messing up/ripping the fabric. Since this is fully plastic, there is no worry. She has more articulation than I can count, and holds the poses well, too. How long it takes those joints to wear out will be interesting to watch, but again, this is for collectors, not kids, so as long as you aren't rough or are posing her for hours every day, I don't see much of a future concern.I ended up taking the U-Command Batpod (remote control) that I got on clearance, used a plastic saw (a saw for plastic, not made out of plastic, LOL) to saw off the part of Batman that was fully attached to it (the base of his cape) and have Selina perched on it and it looks spectacular. It's not in scale (she is a tad too big) but I have her sitting up, pointing her gun and you really cannot tell. I have even put her in the prone riding position (she doesn't lay as flat as in the movie, again because of scale, but still looks good) and using a couple of clear rubber bands attached her to the Batpod (doing it on the legs around the shin area works perfect) and actually used the remote to driver her around. The Batpod is pretty rough and hits things often, but she has been just fine.It seems funny to end with the packaging, but that is stellar as well. It's a gorgeous box, beautiful graphics, very high-end feel, and the front flap opens with a Velcro enclosure for those that want to leave her in there. Though, I wouldn't - she is such a great figure keeping her like that would be a shame. I was also very surprised to see attached with a bubble in the back a very complex stand. It's "clear" plastic (read: milky white) and even has a couple of screws to put it together. It's kind of neat - I wasn't expecting that. Since it's in a sealed bubble, you just have to be careful removing it if you want to keep the packaging in-tact. I don't need a stand for her since I use the Batpod, and I'm not too keen on the "clear" plastic look in a display, but I bet I will dig it out someday for another purpose. Can't recommend this enough. This is the first Play Arts figure I have bought, and I was impressed. When I saw it available for pre-order, I was a little sticker shocked at the price for a 9" plastic figure, but easily well worth it. I wish I hadn't waited so long! In fact, I've already ordered a 2nd one so I can display both the up and down goggles in my set-up. When I get the second one, I'm also going to permanently glue all the heads (since with two sets I'll have four heads total so I can glue all four configurations without worry of wanting to switch them around later). It's definitely made me a fan of the company, and I look forward to enjoying more.
