I was very pleased to find that this in size medium was big enough for my B&G macaw who is very large. I do however have one complaint. The bowl is ridiculously tiny and has 2 compartments for food and water so its split down the middle. You can literally fit one pistachio in there. I’m telling you, its way too small for even a budgie. and it doesn’t even screw on all the way because of a natural bump in the branch. It’s not the end of the world but you would think for that much money, I’d be able to use the bowl. I would still recommend this perch but I specifically wanted something with a bowl and didn’t get that. This thing is awesome! I love it sturdy and strong built to last for ever got the medium and it's perfect for my green cheek conure Mia! The branches are all different diameters the bowl is heavy I use it for dry food and tests still use stainless steel for water and her inside cage bowls the only problem I have is that I'm sure it is sanded or sand blasted and I get it however this makes the branches very smooth and I suggest wrapping some of the branches and trunk and in natural burd safe materials like jute or bn perhaps that sports wrap stuff they use at the.vet the dr for horses and all that but I would totally recommend I know it's almost 100$ but for a table top java play tthing its totally worth it our birds deserve it spoil them like your children! Thats what I do besides oir birds are going to live a very long time hopefully if we do it rite and we owe it to them to give them something natural 100$ over the life of your bird is bn pennies a day and you can always use it for that new baby bird you been eyeing am I rite? This is a beautiful perch that I know will last my rose breasted cockatoo for a long time. I bought the medium size stand. For size scale, my cockatoo is on the smaller sized of the 'toos. He is like 2/3rd's the size of an African Gray. Lets get in to the pros and cons:PROS- The actual wood/limbs are the perfect size for my bird. They are small enough for him to grab easily with his feet yet sturdy enough that the can climb and chew on.- The entire stand including the bottom is the perfect height for a tabletop or on the hearth of the fireplace which is where I put mine.- I saw where people were saying the bowl is in a weird spot for their feathered friend to get to, but mine is in a perfect position for my bird to get to.CONS- The bottom of the stand is a thin cheap like wood that doesn't seem that sturdy and would be destroyed by my even my small bird if he tried chewing it up.- It comes with a screw at the bottom of the actual wood perch that you screw out and attach the base and re-srcew, but my screw was so hard to get undone from the bottom of the wooden perch because it was screwed on so tight. I'm not very strong, but I think anyone would have a hard time.- The bowl is a really cool material, but it felt extremely greasy to the touch and I had to wash it twice to get that off of it. It mad me paranoid for my bird to eat out of it.- The eyelets could be in better positions, but that can be easily fixed by putting more on.Overall, by bird loves this and spends the entire day on it. Each one is going to look different so be sure to keep that in mind. The picture shown here for the medium sized Bird tree really doesn't do the actual product justice. The tree I recieved is much larger, intricate, complex, and beautiful! It is really a work of art. Disclaimer: because this is work of nature, every tree design is unique, so I guess there's a possibility that your tree will be just as simple as pictured. Just part of the gamble I guess! I bought this stand for my green cheek conure who is a smaller bird and this tree is plenty big for him and probably would also suit cockatiels, and similar sized birds. Maybe even up to a caique, Alexandrian, or a cape parrot sized bird. (Small to "smaller" medium sized birds) It came easy to install, only have to bolt on the base and food bowl to the tree, which all screws/screw holes, bolts are provided. The only small downside to this product is the base, which is slightly lower quality than the tree. Oh and one other thing is that the bowl is very fragile. But of this bugs you, you can replace that with a stainless steel bowl for about 2 bucks (online or at your nearest bird store). Anyway, overall great product and investment into your birds life! :)Arrived packaged well in a very large box with lots of padding and packing material. Unfortunately one small branch did break off - easily fixed with a little gorilla glue. This is big and our Sun Conjure is still getting used to it (at first she looked at it like it was some kind of monster). This is one stout tree that she will not easily ruin by chewing on it.I think that because it is an actual tree, some will be pleased by the layout more than others so it is a bit of a gamble.I came out well with the branch layout. My only complaint is the base is not as majestic as the tree! The rubber feet are nice but cheesy carvings and the odd color don't do the tree justice. Water/food cup and accessory eyelets are nice.If you want something away from the cage to give you some "me" time while answering the phone or not keeping your "baby" confined, this might work just fine for you.Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the broken (now fixed) branch and the the base.I understand every piece of wood is gonna have a different design but the one I got didn’t fit well on top of the tray. Either my African grey parrot would poop on the floor or her food would be all over the floor. Also, the piece of wood used give her any room for “climbing” so I had to install a ladder.
